My Journey As an Author
I have always have a great love and passion for the written word. Writing has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have always dreamed of being an author for as long I can remember. I wrote my first editorial when I was in the 2nd grade and my first poem in the 4th grade. I know - I was a bit of a weird kid.
I started writing the poetry that I have posted on my blog when I was in the 8th or 9th grade. As I continued on my journey as an author, I was first published in Spring of 2011 with my collection of poetry entitled Heartfelt Meditations: A Collection of Poetry Inspired by Cherished Scriptures. Since then, I have had some of my articles published in Light and Life. As a author I chose and strive to write what I’m passionate about. I want to share my heartfelt meditations about my faith, my journey as a mother, and my love of America, and express my voice as a member of We the People.
I am originally from Texas, but moved back to Louisiana, with my precious babies, daughter Megan and son Jesse. We moved back to Louisiana in June of 2017 following the passing of my husband. I look forward to continuing pursuing my passion for writing and my journey as an author. As I continue this journey as an author I look forward to focusing on my passions of my journey as a mommy, my love of America and experiences in my journey through my faith and life. My passion for our country is out of my love for America and History and Politics. In 2016 I completed my graduate certificate in Ancient/Classical History and M.A. in Political Science in American Government. As a mommy I have been journey through my motherhood for almost 8 years and counting in which I have learned, discovered, grown and experienced much through journeying hand in hand with my precious daughter and son.
Lastly and most profoundly significant and influential my passion for my faith and spirituality I consider myself a women of faith and have been walking on my journey of faith for over 35 years and I have learned by doing the walk and trying my best to keep the faith and my trust in Jesus Christ. Lastly . Equally I have a deep love and passion for all three of these most significant ares in my life as I journey on and as an author. a reader I enjoy a diverse and eclectic range in book and authors.
I enjoy Nicholas Sparks, John Grisham, Philippa Gregory and J.K. Rowling. I also enjoy authors such as Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram and Mark Levin. In the area of spirituality and faith some of my favorite authors are Gary Chapman, John MacAurther, John Piper, Max Lucado, John Eldridge, Staci Eldridge, Beth Moore, Stormie O’Martin among many others.
